He was predeceased by: his father James I. Nixon. He is survived by: his wife Lea D. Nixon; his sister Norma Nixon Schofield; and his children, James I. Nixon III, Danita Brown and Janette Dent. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
