She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Gemmell and Mary Gemmell (Gallant); her husband Rit; her daughter Paula; her brothers, Clifford Gemmell and Allan; her sisters-in-law, Lucille Gemmell and Margaret Crombie; and her brothers, Chester (Alice O'Hala) and Joseph J. (Millie O'Hala).

She is survived by: her children, Laurie Plourd (Russ) of Southington, Gary O'Hala (Teresia) of Wallingford, Nancy Nardi (Tom) of Southington, Reverend Steven O'Hala of Davie, FL and Julie Emond (David) of Guilford, VT; her granddaughter Amy Crain (Rob); her great grandchildren, Madalyn and Nolan; her grandsons, Kevin Plourd and Michael Plourd (Samantha); her great grandchildren, Maisie and Theodore; her grandchildren, Joseph O'Hala (Amanda) and Katelyn Ballough (Bob); her great grandchildren, Bo and Reese; her grandchildren, Bill Nardi, Lea Nardi and Zachary Emond (Danielle); her great grandchildren, Avery, Elijah and Carly Emond; her siblings-in-law, David Crombie and Judith Gemmell; and her caregivers, Crystal, John and Heidi. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
