Purcell of Southbury, Connecticut, born in Litchfield, Connecticut, who passed away at the age of 103, on July 13, 2023. She was predeceased by: her husband James L. Purcell Jr.; her parents, Jeffrey Donahue and Rose Donahue (Morgan); her son John Morgan Purcell; her brothers, John Donohue (Doris) and Joseph P. Donahue; and her parents-in-law, James L. Purcell Sr. (Manta) and Thomas Purcell (Rita).
She is survived by: her children, James L. Purcell III of Brookfield and Rosemary Abdella (Jim) of Voluntown; her grandchildren, Leandra Pellegrino (Mike), James Abdella Jr. (Kirsten), Erin Demerjian (Greg) and Regina French (Steve); her great grandchildren, Bryce, Emily Pellegrino, Madelyn, Gregory Demerjian and Ella Rose French; and her brother Jeffrey Donahue (Barbara). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the dedicated Nurses, CNAs, Recreation, and other staff at River Glen Health Care Center in Southbury for their caring, compassionate, and professional care of Rosella during her four years in residence there, especially during the COVID crisis.
