He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Doherty and Mary Doherty (Sears); his daughter Kathleen Doherty; and his siblings, Thomas Doherty and Mary Karl.
He is survived by: his wife Elayne Doherty (Peltier); his children, Mark Doherty (Barbara), David Doherty (Sheila) and Loretta Donovan (Joseph); his grandchildren, David, Christopher, Matthew, Bryce, Mitchell, Samantha and Abigail; and his brothers, Myles Doherty (Carolyn) and David Doherty (Margi).
