It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Emma Griswold of Southbury, Connecticut, who passed away on July 13, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles C. Griswold; her parents, Henry Townsend and Elizabeth Townsend (McSweet); and her siblings, Raymond Townsend, Elizabeth Baslak and Ruth Solberg.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia E. Griswold-Sorrentino of Ormond Beach, FL, Elizabeth M. Flach (Mark) of Oxford and Robert C. Griswold of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.; her grandchildren, Andrea LaFrance, Matthew Flach and Michael Flach; her great grandchild Savannah Flach; and her siblings, Theodore Townsend and Mildred Kovic.
