Matthews (Quaker Hill, Connecticut), born in West Pittston, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 1, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Matthews and Marjorie Matthews (Dale); his sister Lillian (Stanley Hanczyc); and his sister-in-law Jacqueline Coombe of Mystic. He is survived by: his wife Vivian E. Matthews (Coombe); his children, Linda M. Anderson (Tom) of South Kingstown, RI and Dale W. Matthews Jr. (Christa) of Quaker Hill; his grandchildren, Robert, Joshua Penfield, Kyle, Cody, Kelsey Matthews and Becky Sicignano; and his siblings-in-law, Thomas Harris (Dawn) of Canton, CT, Mary (George Davis) of Hummelstown, PA, Patricia (late Gene Coombe) of Mystic and Elizabeth (late David Coombe) of New Bern, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
