He was predeceased by: his parent Gary Nelson; and his aunt Lynn Sutter. He is survived by: his parent Brenda Hooper (Sutter); his siblings, Dwayne Hildreth of Rogers, Cindy Dixon (David) of Putnam and Dawn Dubois of Sterling; his aunts and uncles, Bill Nelson, Scott Sutter of Fl, Kathie Hess of Pomfret, Lori Giambattista of Brooklyn, Amy Chagnot of Brooklyn and Nancy Rollinson; his nephew Kyle Dixon of Ryan Dixon; his niece Brandy Dixon of Zoey Dubois; his great-nephew Aiden Dixon; and his great-niece Reyia Dixon.
