She was predeceased by: her parents, Alferie Sponcey and Rena Sponcey (Morin). She is survived by: her husband Richard A. Desmarais, Sr.; and her children, Richard A. Desmarais, Jr., Rochelle Gorts and Alex R. Desmarais.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rose Bove LaRose Cancer Center, 320 Pomfret St, Putnam, CT 06260.
