He was predeceased by: his parents, William W. Whipple and Olga Whipple (Drescher); and his sisters, Diane Barber, Susan Metivier and Barbara Murray.
He is survived by: his wife Betty M. Whipple (Greenlaw); his children, William Whipple (Jennifer) of Eastford, Robert Whipple, Jr. (Jordan) of Winstead, Sharon Kalis (Robert) of St. Augustine, FL, Georgia Pollard, Roberta Guadarrama (Victor Albino), Grosvenordale Waldron and Jackie Waldron (Kevin House) of Beaver Dams, NY; and his siblings, Arnold Whipple of Stockton, CA, William Whipple of Woodbury, CT, Harolyn Anthony of Murrells Inlet, SC and Ruth Hopkins of Danielson. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
