He is survived by: his wife Estelle Girard (Benoit); his children, Karen Edgar (David) of Avon and Robert Girard, Jr. (Ellen Corsell) of Kent; his sister Denise Crabtree of Dayville; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Taylor and Evan Edgar.
