It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Staplins (Putnam, Connecticut), born in New London, Connecticut, who passed away on January 13, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Staplins, Sr. and Emily Staplins (Biltcliff); his grandson Christopher Staplins; and his sister Margaret Tupplin. He is survived by: his wife Adele Staplins of Putnam, CT; his children, James J. Staplins (Darlene) of Pomfret Center, CT and Denise Staplins of Putnam, CT; his grandchildren, Eric Staplins of Pomfret Center, CT, Amanda Bernier of Putnam, CT, Angela DiPasquale (Josh) of Pomfret Center, CT and Andrea Bernier of Putnam, CT.; his great grandchildren, Savana, Axton, MacKenzie and Ryder; and his sister Emily Allard (Richard) of Putnam, CT.. He is also survived by his wife, his children, his grandchildren and his great grandchildren.
