It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George H. Dowell (Putnam, Connecticut), who passed away on June 21, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George H. Dowell to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Beatrice; and his sister Dorothea Dowell. He is survived by: his son-in-law John; his children, Linda E. Dowell of Gardiner, ME, Janet Richmond (John) of Woodstock, CT and Michael Dowell (Sandra) of Magnolia, TX; his granddaughters, Jillian Richmond Petrides (William), Julia Richmond (Brian Sullivan), Joy Richmond (Jonathan Bergstrom) and Erin Dowell (Thomas John Liddle); his great grandchildren, Benjamin Petrides and Clara Petrides; his brother William Dowell; his nieces, Geraldine Faber (Frank) and Patricia Merrill (Richard); and his wife Bea. He is also survived by nieces, great nephew, and great-great nieces and nephew.
