He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Smat and Estelle Smat (Lamothe). He is survived by: his wife Marian Smat (Cassettari); his children, Jeffrey Smat (Karleen) of Brunswick, ME, Peter A. Smat (Nicole) of Hampton, CT and Lana Trudo (Peter) of Pomfret; his sister Shirley Mercieri (John) of Burlington, CT; his grandchildren, Ryan Smat, Nicholas Smat, Taylor Smat, Hannah Trudo, Sydney Trudo, Alan Smat, Petra Smat and Cole Smat; and his great grandchild Mia Smat. He is also survived by wife, children, and grandchildren.
