He was predeceased by: his former wife Mildred Casey (Williams); and his parents, J. Edward Casey, Sr. and Marjorie Casey (Matthews). He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Casey (O'Brien); his stepsons, Timothy B. Morrarty (Melissa) of Pomfret and Thomas Morrarty of Vero Beach, FL; his siblings, Alan M. Casey of Willimantic and Hope C. Garrison (Lee) of Chaplin; his grandchildren, Matthew Morrarty (Stephanie), Bradley Belanger (Sasha) and Kayla Belanger (Emily); and his great grandchildren, Allison, Maxson, Hayes Morrarty and Alexander Belanger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He performed many acts of kindness and works of charity over the years, especially as President and Sexton of the Abington Cemetery Association.
