She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh J. DeMello and Creuza Mattos DeMello. She is survived by: her husband Augusto Alves; her children, Suzy Kelly and Roger Alves; her grandchildren, Alexa Kelly, Shayla Kelly, Emily Alves and Victor Alves; and her siblings, Vera Nascimento, Sonia Camara, Rita Devlin, Ana Panzo, Elanie Ferrara, Christina Rodrigues, Isaias DeMello and Hugh DeMello.
