It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emily Purpora of Orange, Connecticut, born in West Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on August 22, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Cirasuolo and Rose Cirasuolo; her significant other Maurice F. Purpora; her son Robert J. Purpora; and her grandson Joshua M. Purpora.
She is survived by: her son Dr. David P. Purpora (Alberta) of Guilford, CT; her daughter-in-law April Purpora of Monmouth Beach, NJ.; her great grandchildren, Freddy Purpora, James Purpora, Isabella Purpora Amelia Purpora, Jack Purpora, Hunter Purpora, Joseph Robert Bellavia, Sophia Bellavia, William Bellavia, Suzanna Fyodorov and Tatiana Fyodorov; her stepgrandchildren, John J. Capece Jr. and Danielle T. Capece of Guilford, CT; her daughter-in-law Suzanne Flanagan Purpora of Bradenton, FL; her sister Carol Tartagni of West Haven, CT.; her goddaughter Lynn Cavallaro; and her nieces, Joan Pettiti, Judy Williams and Lori Rooney (Longo). She is also survived by 10 siblings.
