Charles Smyth Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Smyth of Orange, Connecticut, who passed away on July 19, 2020 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Smyth and Eleanor Smyth; and his sister Betty Ann. He is survived by: his children, Graham Smyth, Brendan Smyth (Mika) and Emily Ryan (Matt); his grandchildren, Emi, Jude, Aya and Zoey; and his sisters, Eleanor Smyth and Susan Chaplik (Tom). He is also survived by many extended family and friends.

“It is with great sadness that Jo Ann and I learned of Charlie's passing. While we live many miles apart, we kept in touch through occasional phone calls and yearly Christmas exchanges. Whenever we travelled to Orange, we would get together and chat for a couple of hours. We had more than a few laughs back in the day at the Paugusset Club. We miss him and hope that he is in a better place now.”
