With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter Robert Valaitis of Oakville, Connecticut, born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on December 22, 2020 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter P. Valaitis and Clara Valaitis (Bria); and his brother Philip Valaitis of Waterbury. He is survived by: his wife Melodie Valaitis (Burke); his children, Dawn M. Valaitis of Waterbury and Christopher Valaitis (Jenny); his granddaughter Dahlia Rae Valaitis of Waterbury; his sister Claire Dwyer (Dennis) of Southbury; his godson Sean Dwyer of Middlebury; his nephew Peter Dwyer of Southbury; and his great-nephews, Lucas and Mason Dwyer of Middlebury.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks that any memorial contributions in Peter's name be made to an educational fund for his granddaughter at: Dahlia Rae Valaitis Education Fund c/o Wells Fargo Bank Or Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center.
