We are sad to announce that on December 12, 2021, at the age of 74, Monsignor Michael Donohue of Niantic, Connecticut, born in Pawcatuck, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Donohue and Catherine Keegan Donohue; his sister Catherine D. Lathrop; and his nephew Charles J. Lathrop of Stonington. He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, John, Patrick (Erin), Sean (Kelly), Timothy (Colleen), Benjamin (Lauren), Tricia Detterman (David), Anne Wang (Roger) and Emily Donohue (Tom Studt).

Due to ongoing concerns regarding the spread of Covid-19, the family respectfully requests that those attending wear face masks.

“Mike was a great guy who was accepted as a member of Gallucci's Gym during the time Mike was at the church in Vernon. He was very well liked by everyone and few gym members knew he was a priest. From 1978-1983, Mike was one of my best friends. We played tennis each week during spring, summer and fall. My son loved, "Fodder Mike" who was always welcome in our home. Mike always talked about his family. He was a terrific Monsignor as well as a human being!”
