He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Kardys and Dorthea Sweeney Kardys. He is survived by: his wife Carol Vara; his siblings, Gary Kardys of No and Jan Kardays of Redding; and his sisters-in-law, Emma Gennaro of Andover, MA, Patricia Vara Appleby and Melrose.
