He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph 'Jack Kearns and Cecelia McDonough; his daughter Judith; and his siblings, John, Cecelia, James, Patrick and Joseph.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Tougas Kearns; and also, Thomas Barry Kearns (Mary), Patricia Ann Kearns (Fred) and Kathleen Lassetter (David). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
