He is survived by: his spouse Bonnie Shepherd (Swanek); his children, Bryon Shepherd, Eric Shepherd, Lori Shepherd and Michael Shepherd Jr.; his grandchildren, Dillon White, Reilly White, Kadin Shepherd, Kieran Shepherd, Mikai Shepherd, Britney Porter and Makyla Porter; and his brothers, Jerry Shepherd and Donnie Shepherd.
