She was predeceased by: her parents, William J. 'Bill' and Winifred 'Winnie' Smith (Forte). She is survived by: her husband Thomas J. Ward; her children, Winnie Joy Braid (George), Jay (Karen), James (Jackie), Will (Lara) and Tracy Ward; and her brother Warren W. Smith (Bonnie). She is also survived by ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
