Ernest J. Hill Obituary

Ernest J. Hill a lifelong New Milford, CT resident passed away Sunday February 23, 2020 in New Milford at the age of 82.

He was born May 19, 1937, son of the late George and Dorothy (Fink) Hill. He attended New Milford Schools and had worked in Maintenance for the school for 43 years before retiring in 2008. On June 27, 1987 he married Elizabeth Johnson in New Milford.

Besides his wife Elizabeth, Ernest is survived by his children, Ernest Hill Jr. of Winsted, CT, Kimberly Hill and Miley Hill of New Milford, CT, Colleen Zelonka of Edgewater, FL and Joseph Nickerson of New Milford, CT; brothers Robert and James Hill of New Milford; sisters Dorothy Johnson of OR, Shirley Thompson of New Milford, CT, June Box of Torrington, CT, Sheila Carlson of Bridgewater, CT and grandchildren Caiden Zelonka and Adriana Hill. He was predeceased by brothers Andrew, George, Richard, William Edward and Roger.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday March 15, 2020 at 12:00 pm at the Odd Fellows Lodge, 25 Danbury Rd., New Milford, CT.
