He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Bayers and Grace Bayers (Morshead). He is survived by: his sister Heather Demet of Milford, CT; his children, Albert (Eileen Bayers) of Philadelphia, PA, Peter (Tracy Bayers) of New Milford, Beth (Neil Harvison) of New Milford and John (Margaret Bayers) of Fairfield, CT; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Helen, Samuel Bayers, Kate, Emma Harvison, Matthew and Gavin Bayers; and his siblings, Frederick, Suzanne, Frank and Geoffrey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in his name be made to the Torrington Symphony Orchestra http://www.torringtonsymphony.org.
