He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Bernstein and Sadie Harshowitz Bernstein; and his brother Elliott Bernstein. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ruddlesden Bernstein; his daughters, Carey Olsen (Courtland Brown) of Waterford and Jill Bernstein (Phillippe Lovett-Vernex) of Atlanta; and his sister Lois Friedhoffer of Waterford. He is also survived by three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
