He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen MD and Hugh F. Lena M. D.; and his siblings, Hugh F. Lena Jr., Virginia M. Calanquin and Paul J. Lena M. D..
He is survived by: his wife Jean M. Lena; his grandchildren, Jessica McDonald (Christopher Vest), Jaclyn, Colter, Kendra, Avery, Peter, Sydney and Camila (Lena); and his great grandchild Miles (Vest).
