It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elayne A. Gumbs (New London, Connecticut), born in Weymouth, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 24, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Gene of Hayesville, Elayne (Gary Thomas) of Old Saybrook and Susan Sumara of East Hampton; and her grandchildren, Emily Gumbs, Emory Thomas, Hannah Gumbs, Heidi Thomas, Timothy Thomas and Gideon Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, Elayne requested mourners consider a charitable donation to Bishop Seabury Anglican Church.
