He was predeceased by: his parents, Iouani and Eleni; his wife Sofia Longinidis; and his siblings, Despina Tongalakis, George, Niko, Andoni and Stefano Zelepos.
He is survived by: his children, Eleni "Helen" Halidis and John Zelepos of New London; his brother Sotiri of Greece; his granddaughters, Sophia Halidis and Via Rivera (Juan M. Rivera); and his great grandchildren, Isabella and Isaiah Rivera.
