He is survived by: his mother Inez Yard of New London, CT; his wife Gwendolyn; his sons, Jamel, Jason, Tyshawn, Isaiah and Sincere; his siblings, Carol McLaurin of Brooklyn, NY, Darlene Frazier of New London, CT, Turaine Adams of Queens, NY, Faye Adams of Atlanta, Lionel Yard, Laird Yard and Irvin Yard of New London, CT; his sisters-in-law, Sandra Yard of Brooklyn, NY, Phyllis Yard and Josephine Yard of New London, CT; and his grandchildren, Nae, Quon, Ni-Tasia, Jamel, Ta'Nazha, Jasani, Da'Najha, Jae, Kwon, Isaiah, Nova, Ian and Mesiah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
