He was predeceased by: his parent James Ward; his son Reginald Ward; and his siblings, Benjamin, Robert, Rudolph Ward and Lessie Bryant.

He is survived by: his parent Elizabeth Ward; his son Relford M. Ward, Jr.; his daughters-in-law, Mary-Jane Ward and Debra Stueber-Ward; and his grandchildren, Jade, Derrick Ward and Madeline Tirado.
