He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold E. Vayo and Lucie Vayo (Plante); his wife Joan Cassidy Vayo; and his siblings, Robert, Jean Cull, Janet Vayo and Barbara Vayo.
He is survived by: his brother Paul Vayo (Genia) of Fairfax, Virginia; his children, Harry Vayo (Linda Woods) of Waterville, Maine, David Vayo (Marie-Susanne Langille) of Bloomington, Illinois, Paula Werne (Gary Werne) of Ferdinand, Indiana and William Vayo (Barbara C. Gill); his grandchildren, Becky Sunseri (Vayo), Andrew, Gordon, Lucy Vayo, Thomas, John and James Werne; and his great grandchildren, Cameron Werne, Leo and Evan Sunseri.
