It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rodney Higgins of Lebanon, Connecticut, born in Bangor, Maine, who passed away on August 5, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Madaras and Erma Higgins Madaras (Gould); his brothers, Robert Higgins, Elwyn Higgins, Ronald Higgins, Howard Higgins, Johnny Madaras and Balint Madaras; his stepfather John Madaras; and his mother-in-law Therese Blais.
He is survived by: his wife Lori Higgins (Blais) of Lebanon; his children, Justine Higgins of Coventry and Walker (Kylen Higgins) of Hayden, CO; his children-in-law, Philip, Tammy Higgins of Winterport, ME, Erma, John Evans of Dexter, ME, Laszlo and Babi Madaras of Dedham, MA; and his siblings-in-law, Margot Higgins of Bangor, ME, Joyce Higgins of Middletown, Marc Blais of Colchester, David (Terry Blais) of Fairfield, ME and Joanne (Steven Cohen) of East Hampton. He is also survived by many nephews & nieces; and numerous extended family members & friends.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, services will be private however a memorial service will be planned at a safer time.
