He was predeceased by: his sister Mary Elizabeth; and his brother-in-law John B. Shea II. He is survived by: his wife Bonlyn Lillibridge Craig (Bonnie); his children, Jay Craig of Seattle, WA and Susannah Craig (Suzi) of West Hartford, CT; his stepgrandchildren, Camden Robertson, Gage Robertson and Tagh Robertson; his nephews, John Shea (Nell Shea), Craig Shea (Carolyn Shea) and Patrick Shea (Kathy Shea); his niece Cathleen Shea Connolly (John Connolly); his great-niece Joan Daly; and his friends, Bonnie, Rock Steady and Ken.
