Franklyn Matthies Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 22, 2019, at the age of 87, Franklyn Matthies (Killingworth, Connecticut) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard H. Matthies and Ethel C. Matthies of Seymour, CT.; and his daughters, Mallory Gay Diedrich and Tayna Gay Matthies. He is survived by: his wife Sheridan R. Matthies of Killingworth; his children, Guy Matthies (Anne) of Madison, Garrison Matthies of Clinton and Kimberly Groat of Newport, NH.; and his grandchildren, Christopher Matthies (Whitney) of Raleigh, Katherine Damore (Nicholas) of Guilford, Alexander Matthies of Middletown and Rachal Matthies of Savannah, GA.. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
