He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Nilsen and Glennyce Nilsen (Brown); and his sister Carolyn Personette. He is survived by: his children, Matthew Nilsen (Sara) and Sarah Dugan (Nick); his siblings, Clinton Nilsen, Marilyn Nilsen-Jerz and Kathleen Nilsen-Baker (Donald); and his granddaughters, Elizabeth Dugan and Amelia Nilsen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
