She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Bloomingdale and Florence Bloomingdale of New Haven, CT.; her husband Albert Mathewson; and her siblings, Cora Davis, Florence Lickteig, Jacob, Walter, William and Frank Bloomingdale.

She is survived by: her children, Jim Mathewson (Nancy) of Stuart, FL and Sue Gorecki (Stan) of Englewood, FL; her granddaughters, Beth Law, Brooke Mazzarella and Jaime Troop; and her great grandchildren, Mackenzie Bourdon, Dylan, Camryn Mazzarella, Matthew and Rebecca Law.

“What a talent! In St.Petersburg she wrote lyrics for a song she titled "With Love 'J' and asked me, via Del Marth, to write the music. I did. A Presbyterian church choir there sang. She and Del left to become researchers, authors & publishers at Branford. I did two careers in St. Petersburg. Proving the thesis of LIFESPANS (1990) I am author editor and publisher retired theoretically in Georgia mountains and St.Petersburg beaches. Salu' Mademoiselle Marty [Marth] Mathewson !
