He is survived by: his children, Matthew Scalesse (Becky) of Wallingford and Pamela Carfora of New Haven; his grandchildren, Kurt Vogt Jr. of Portland, Olivia Ortiz of New Haven, Noah, Amelia and Colin Scalesse of Wallingford; his great grandchild Nathan Raymond-Vogt of Portland; and his brother Robert Scalesse (Carol) of East Haven. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
