She was predeceased by: her parents, Alner Brown and Bessie Brown; and her siblings, Dorothy Brown and Willie L. Brown, Sr.. She is survived by: her sons, William R. Nabors, Jr. (Margo) of Hamden, CT and Philip W. Nabors (Linda) of High Point, NC; her grandchildren, Jordan D. Nabors of Chattanooga, TN, William R. Nabors, III of Hamden, CT, Trevor J. Nabors of High Point, NC and Lailah M. Nabors of Hamden, CT; her brothers, James Brown (Margaret) of Sun City, FL and Edward Brown of Ruffin, NC; and her close friend Ezekiel Carr. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Janett worked at Yale University Medical Center for 35 + years and also worked part-time at the Veterans Administration where she led many clinical studies as well as the American Heart Association.
