She was predeceased by: her father Vincenzo DeMichele; her former husband John Cacopardo; her siblings, Angelina Arcangelo-Ciarmella, Peter and Louis DeMichele (Edith); and her children-in-law, John Ruggiero and Jeraldine Tiano Cacopardo.
She is survived by: her children, Irene Ruggiero of New Haven, James (Nikki Heery) of Madison, Louis of Guilford, Gregory (Jeannie) of Guilford, John (Janet) of North Haven and David (Corrine) of North Haven; and her stepdaughters, Carol Libby (Dennis) of Cheshire, Joanne Slot of Cheshire and Joyce Kostyk of Fairport, NY.. She is also survived by Thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and step grandchildren.
