She was predeceased by: her parents, Judge Walter M. Downes and Mary McGowan Downes; and her sister Mary E. Downes-Hibey. She is survived by: her siblings, Mary Beth, Margaret A. "Maggie" Downes, W. Michael Downes, James M. Downes (Sandra) and Thomas P. Downes (Susan). She is also survived by four nephews and two nieces.
