He was predeceased by: his brothers, John, J. J. and Ben; and his parents, Clista Edith (Pierce) and Atty.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, John Hickey (Ruth Ann) of Hatfield, PA, Sam Hickey (Debbie) of Allentown, PA, Mark Wuerthner (Barbara) of Framingham, MA, John Wuerthner (Joan) of Arlington, VA, Ginger Flood (Michael) of Perkasie, PA, Susanne Wuerthner (David) of Syracuse, NY, Ande Metzger (Peter) of McLean, VA and Shelle Gordon (John) of Westminster, CO. He is also survived by numerous grand nephews and nieces and great grand nephews and nieces.
Most recently he was an RSVP volunteer on the information desk at New Britain City Hall for several years.
