He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hein and Barbara Hein (Neske). He is survived by: his wife Martha; his daughters, Jessica Case (Gary) of Delaware and Bethany Spada (Dean) of Southington, CT; his granddaughter Sophie Spada; and his siblings-in-law, Erwin, Kimberly Krause of Torrington, Ann and Donald Perrault of Farmington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
