She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Atkinson (Boone) and Lucy Atkinson (Bugbee); her son David Rathbone Patterson; her sister Sarah "Sally" Harrelson; and her great-niece Eliana Ortiz.

She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Markham (Brian) of Fairfield and Robert Patterson (Elizabeth) of Rye; her grandchildren, Quinn, Madeleine, Charlotte Markham, Alexandra, George and William Patterson; her niece Whitney Ortiz (Orlando); her great-niece Emilia of Washington, D. C.; her sister-in-law Victoria Hartsock; her nieces, Kimberly and Nicole; and also, John Harrelson (Jessica), Lucy, Adelaide of Simsbury, CT., Jeffrey Harrelson (Hillary), Rory and Wells of Westwood, MA..
