He was predeceased by: his parents, George Myron Barker and Elizabeth Leeds Barker of Fairfield, CT; his wife Joyce; and his daughter-in-law Pamela. He is survived by: his friend Joyce Edwards; and his children, Karen May (Barry), Bruce, Diane Brown (Greg) and George (Rachel). He is also survived by four children, 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
