He is survived by: his sister Jackie Tuomala (Jerry); his children, Richard Guy Nelson IV (Brenda), Keith Nelson and Alicia (Danny McMillian); his stepchildren, Lynne Percival and Vincent Manso; his grandchildren, Richard Guy Nelson V, Michelle Safin, Kristina Burke (Chris), James Nelson (Arreerat), Alicia Nelson, Ricky Dougan, Carolann Schack, Ricky Nelson, Daniel Nelson, Christopher Cole, Blake Sowell and Ryan Manso; his niece Rene Alderman; his extended family, Karen E. Rowan, Kathleen A. Giordano (John), Sheila A. Beaudry (Daniel) and Edmond J. Rowan III (Kimberly); and his grandchildren, John J. Giordano Jr., Nicholas T. Giordano, Gabrielle M. Bodian (Josh), Michael D. Beaudry and Ayleen L. Rowan. He is also survived by nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
