He was predeceased by: his father Howard T. Madsen; his son Richard "Dickie" Madsen; and his brothers, Walter and Howard Madsen. He is survived by: his wife Ann Madsen (Richardson); his sons, Peter Madsen (Lisa) and Jim Madsen (Cindy); his daughter-in-law Joanne Madsen; his foster daughter Ellen Sprague (Perry); his grandchildren, Melissa Madsen (Kevin Scott), Jeremy Madsen (Katie), Joel Madsen (Alanna), Jonathan Madsen (Marie), Connor Madsen and Danny Vincenzo (Marci); and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Nick, Hannah, Cameron, Taylor, Declan, Juniper, Ford, Santana and Lily.
