He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret F. Barberie (Foley); his parents, John D. Barberie, Sr. and Anna Barberie (Rooney); and his brothers, Thomas and David Barberie.

He is survived by: his daughters, Norine Barberie of Springfield, MA, Trish Callahan (Carl) of Enfield, Ellen Sidway (Kyle) of Enfield and Katy Forstell (Eric) of Manchester; his grandchildren, Sarah, Jessica, Timothy Callahan, Karlene, Nicholas Sidway, Cameron and Hannah Forstell; his great grandchildren, Madeline, Penelope, Benjamin, Kadon and Rowan; and his sister Ann Marie Devanney.
