She was predeceased by: her husband John Gilbert Jr.; her parents, August Lauinger and Rosa Lauinger; and her siblings, Liselotte (Claud Barker), Elfriede (Kurt Umlauft) and Heinz (Magda Lauinger).
She is survived by: her daughter Gerlinde Lieselotte Stone (Charles) of East Hartford. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
