He is survived by: his wife Pauline Whelahan (Desroches); his children, Darren Whelahan (Melissa), Shannon Whelahan and Kelly Whelahan; his grandchildren, Savannah, Makayla, Nathaniel and Evan; and his stepson Jeffrey Dow (Carolyn).
